South Coast helps local Community
January 2011

The frozen weather experienced in the winter of 2010-2011 resulted in water leaks from burst pipes causing major problems both locally and countrywide affecting thousands of families.

The local council in Fermoy contacted South Coast to assist in relieving the pressure by provided water tankers in locations around Fermoy.

South Coast stepped up to the mark over the holiday period and were delighted to be of assistance to the local community.

South Coast renews its commitment to Micro-Bio Ireland Ltd
October 2010

South Coast is pleased to announce that it has started work on the upgrade of it fleet that is dedicated to its long time customer Micro-Bio Ltd.

In keeping with South Coast's commitments to it customer, the company has added 3 new 25,000lts Caustic Road Barrels and a new Curtainsider.

These additions will ensure that Micro-Bio's products will be delivered in a safe manner using the latest available technology.

These units have been painted in Micro-Bio's distinctive blue livery enhancing the company's image while on the nation's roads.




South Coast starts work on it's new Headquarters
July 2010

South Coast is pleased to announce that it has started work on its new headquarters in Fermoy.

The build will consist of 484sqm of office space and 1,057sqm of maintenance area.

The maintenance area will contain 5 lanes for repairs and testing in addition to 1 lane for the external washing of the entire fleet.

South Coast secures Great Gas contract
January 2010

South Coast Transport is delighted to announce the signing of a 5 year contract with Great Gas Petroleum (Ireland) Ltd.

Great Gas Petroleum (Ireland) Ltd operates from its head office in Churchtown, Mallow, Co. Cork and is a member of the DCC plc group since January 2009.

Great Gas Livery can be seen nationwide with 50 branded sites and a further 30 independent sites being supplied by the company.

The contract for the distribution of fuel from the Dublin port terminal to its ever expanding forecourt portfolio adds two additional vehicles along with two new GRW tankers to the South Coast fleet.

”The contract complements the company’s traffic lanes within Ireland and fits perfectly into the structure of the South Coast business plan for future growth” says Operations Director; Richie O'Flynn.

He added “We are delighted that Great Gas has chosen us as their partner in the Dublin region and look forward to future growth in the petroleum distribution sector“.
